Talented midcourter Reeghan de Bono has been elevated from training partner to fully contracted Magic player for the 2024 season. Born in Australia but moving back to New Zealand where her family has a long history with Netball Bay of Plenty, and attending Tauranga Girls High School, de Bono has continued to further develop her strong sporting pedigree with netball becoming more prominent. Before returning to New Zealand, de Bono was selected in the Australian U17 squad and has since left her mark across several representative teams on this side of the Tasman. She has been part of the Aotearoa Māori squad, the NZSS Development camp and identified as a NZ U21 player while also turning out for Waikato Bay of Plenty in the National Netball League.
