A training partner last season, shooter Kate Taylor has been elevated to fully-contracted player for the Magic in 2025. Part of the Wakato Bay of Plenty Pathway, Taylor has continued to climb the ranks and leave an impression. A tall and accurate presence under the hoop, Taylor delivered strong personal performances during 2023 and 2024, where she excelled with her consistently high volume of shots and accurate radar for Waikato Bay of Plenty in the NNL and for Hamilton City in the Netball NZ Open Champs. A player of real promise, Taylor is also part of the NZ U21 squad and vying for a spot in the team which contest the World Youth Cup later in the year.
