Taking her opportunities when presented resulted in a first fulltime contract with the Magic last season for shooter Ivana Rowland and she will suit up again in 2024. From being a Magic training partner, Rowland became a permanent replacement for the Pulse in 2021 to get her first taste at the elite level. Back with the Waikato Bay of Plenty national league team in 2022, Rowland quickly became a regular feature for the Magic after the team was decimated by injury and illness. That continued in 2023 with a string of cameo performances. Unafraid to go to the post, Rowland has an unflappable temperament, an accurate finish on the shot and timely movement as she continues to build her game. Rowland has soaked up all her opportunities, thriving with the exposure and now looking to press on.
