After a long hiatus, experienced midcourter Ariana Cable-Dixon makes a triumphant return to take her place in the 2026 Magic line-up, her last fulltime contract with the franchise being in 2020. In the interim, the well-versed athlete has become a mother of two while filling in for various teams. In recent times, Cable-Dixon has added an influential presence to the Waikato Bay of Plenty NNL team through her experience and leadership qualities while also making several appearances for the Magic during the 2025 season. From Te Awamutu, Cable-Dixon was predominantly a centre in her early days but has become an accomplished wing attack in recent years, adding to her experience and versatility in the midcourt. The fleet-footed Cable-Dixon is an impressive all-round athlete who shines on attack with her strong driving play, quick movement and slick feeding.
