Ali Wilshier profile

Ali Wilshier

Promising young midcourter Ali Wilshier returns to her home Zone in 2024 after a season with Team Bath in the UK Super League. A training partner with the Magic in 2020, Wilshier spent 2021 and 2022 with the Steel before heading offshore for a change of scenery and more court time. The 1.69m pocket rocket operates from both wing attack and centre, has speed to burn, the ability to open up the circle with deft feeding touches and is generally a livewire presence on attack and defensively. Wilshier previously spent three years playing for Waikato Bay of Plenty in the National Netball League and was the 2019 NNL Player of the Year. An exciting prospect, Wilshier adds another dynamic to the Magic midcourt and will be relishing her opportunity of having another crack at the elite level in New Zealand.
