Women in League
The Harvey Norman Women in League (WIL) Program celebrates and acknowledges the role of women at all levels and in all areas of the game and the leadership groups of the Bulldogs, our very own Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic and the Auckland Warriors are promoting the role of women as leaders in sport.
They are hosting a Women as Leaders Cocktail Party on Friday 16th May and all proceeds from this event will go to Te Whakaruruhau Womens Refuge. Guests will include Raelene Castle, CEO Bulldogs, Julie Fitzgerald, Kia Magic Coach, Casey Kopua, Silver Ferns Captain and Kia Magic Captain, Her Worship the Mayor of Hamilton Julie Hardaker, Steve Price and Sam Perrett current member of the Bulldogs Rugby League team.
Established in 2007, the WIL Program aims to make women feel proud of their role and their contribution to the game. We also aim to empower and inspire women at all levels and in all roles.
WIL presents the game an opportunity to engage with selected audiences and target groups that it may not otherwise reach.
WIL also reflects on how much Rugby League is a part of family and social life for so many Australians.
