The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic is pleased to announce their four training partners for the 2019 ANZ Premiership season.

Georgie Edgecombe, Simmon Howe, Greer Sinclair and Khiarna Williams will be part of the wider group who have ambitions to be a title contender next season.

Magic head coach Amigene Metcalfe was excited about the training partners and knows they will bring a lot to the team environment both on and off the court.

“Simmon and Khiarna both take a step up from representing the Zone in the Beko Netball League in 2018, and their performances warrant their selections,” she said.

“Simmon had a stand out season and brings a bit more experience to the mid court area along with an excellent work ethic while Khiarna, who is a student at Trident High School, has shown on a number of occasions that she is a shooter with a lot of talent and potential.

“Georgie is straight out of St Peter’s School in Cambridge and is a tenacious defender who has earned her selection with hard work and perseverance, while Greer will be coming to us from Epsom Girls Grammar in Auckland and is an athletic and rangy defender.”

The Magic get their 2019 ANZ Premiership season underway on Sunday 24 February at Claudelands Arena in Hamilton, where they will host the opening Super Sunday of the season.
