Innovative Kiwi company Manuka Performance will power the Splice Construction Magic this year in a new partnership announced between the two parties.
The Whakatane-based company has a focus of impacting individuals mental health and wellness journeys through its product range of gels, probiotics, and Manuka Performance drops – products based around the globally recognised health properties of Manuka Honey.
Magic General Manager Gary Dawson said they were excited to join forces with Manuka Performance for the 2022 ANZ Premiership.
“It’s great to have Manuka Performance become part of our Magic family – particularly a fast-growing company from within our region which is as passionate about health and wellbeing as we are,” he said.
“Our Magic athletes will benefit from a company which is dedicated to sport performance, and we looked forward to working alongside Manuka Performance over the coming years.”
Manuka Performance has a number of athletes in its stable from a diverse range of sports including cycling, canoe racing, triathlon, and motor sports.
Co-founder and Manuka Performance CEO, Tristan Vine, said they were delighted to step into the netball arena alongside the Magic.
“We want to push the boundaries and change perceptions of what Performance Spots nutrition can look like, which is why we offer a range of innovative products developed for athletes at all levels,” he said.

The Magic open their ANZ Premiership campaign against the Mystics at Globox Arena in Claudelands on 13 March.
