Waikato Bay of Plenty Avis Magic have confirmed Kenza Taele and Jade Kawhe as training partners for the upcoming season.
Taele is a dynamic midcourter who has recently completed her studies in Auckland and returned home to Tauranga, where she is now practising as a physiotherapist. Known for her speed, work rate, and ability to lift intensity through the middle of the court, Taele brings strong training standards and a competitive edge to the Magic environment.
Kawhe is a prominent Waikato Bay of Plenty netballer and a member of the 2025 Synergy Hair Netball League squad with WBOP Matarau. A versatile attacker within the shooting circle, she was also selected in the 2025 WBOP NNL Development Tour Team and named 2025 Tauranga Senior Representative Player of the Year, recognising her consistency and impact at representative level.
Magic Head Coach Mary-Jane Araroa says the addition of Taele and Kawhe reflects the club’s commitment to developing emerging talent within a high-performance environment.
“Kenza and Jade both bring energy, competitiveness, and a strong willingness to learn. Training partners play an important role in our programme, and both players have shown they’re ready to step into that space.”
Taele and Kawhe will train regularly with the squad throughout the season, gaining exposure to elite systems while supporting Magic’s preparation and performance goals.
