Harten says in the four years of playing ANZ Championship Netball, her game has improved exponentially.
“To be honest I don’t really recognise my game anymore, I have grown so much,” she said.
“I think you have to be physically tough and mentally tough in this league to try and last week in, week out and year after year. I suppose when I first came over I had some experience on the international stage but nothing really to show for it.
“Ever since playing the ANZ Championship and especially at the Kia Magic, my game has improved, my shooting percentages have improved, my consistency has improved over the past couple of years and I credit that to playing the best players in the world every week!”
Harten says the team is ready for the challenge of Finals netball.
“This year we have had some struggles losing players to injuries but the culture is still there and what the club stands for is really great,” she said.
“Playing at the Kia Magic has revolutionised my game and it’s honestly the best team I’ve ever been a part of, and the culture is just incredible.”
Fans can watch Harten and her Kia Magic teammates against the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel in the NZ Conference Elimination Final at Claudelands Arena in Hamilton on Saturday 6 June from 3.10pm.
Tickets are available through Ticketek with the match live on SKY Sport 1 and Fox Sports.
The winner will play the SKYCITY Mystics on Monday 8 June at The Trusts Arena in the NZ Conference Final.
