Cowbells Will Be Ringing
Kia Magic are determined their ANZ Championship Semi-Final opponents know they’re in mooloo country when they arrive at Claudelands Arena on Sunday evening.
The Waikato Bay of Plenty team are encouraging all of their loyal members and supporters to deck out in Magic colours in the bid to help bring the team home.

There is no doubt about the importance of home court advantage and Magic co-captain Casey Kopua says her family are among the loudest and proudest at Magic home games.
“Our crowds have been rowdy this year, they’ve been supportive no matter what,” she said.
“I think it goes to show that no matter where we are we have support and those cowbells will be ringing hard tonight – not that my Dad is the leader of that or anything!”
Kia Magic coach Julie Fitzgerald agrees and says the thought of having to jump on a plane this week was incentive enough to win through to a home Semi-Final.
“It‘s obviously an advantage and we didn’t want to travel again,” Fitzgerald said.
“There’s no doubt in the world that we needed to do a lot of recovery this week so not to have to travel is an advantage for us.
“It is going to be a good game and I’m happy that we get to play it at Claudelands.”
The Kia Magic host the NSW Swifts in the ANZ Championship Semi-Final at Claudelands Arena TONIGHT from 7.10pm NZT.
Tickets are available through Ticketek with the broadcast live on SKY Sport 1.
