WBOP Magic and NSW Swifts Stars to entertain in Te Awamutu

Close connections between the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic and New South Wales Swifts have paved the way for confirmation today of a preseason encounter between the two sides in Te Awamutu on Wednesday, 17 February at 6:00pm.
A Hamilton netball player has had a ‘magic’ experience, spending time shoe shopping with Kia Magic co-captain Casey Kopua as part of a Drive Sober campaign.
In a unique twist on the ‘one-club’ relationships that rarely occur in modern sport, Casey Kopua and Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty have further cemented their already long-term partnership with an open end to working together.
In a huge coup for Waikato Bay of Plenty netball, effectively the entire 2015 New Zealand Conference winning Kia Magic squad will return for next year’s ANZ Championship. The only difference sees defender Jo Trip heading on an OE. All the rest of this year’s squad, which featured 13 players due to Casey Kopua’s injury rehabilitation, will be back in 2016.
