Magic Prepare for Road Trip
Kia Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic midcourter Grace Rasmussen is looking forward to a warm welcome when the team arrive in Brisbane this weekend ahead of their Round 8 clash against the Mission Queensland Firebirds.
Hamilton’s temperatures have been a bit chilly this week while Queensland is expected to be in the high 20’s, a heat that Rasmussen is sure will be matched on court on Saturday afternoon.
The first hurdle the Magic will have to overcome is beating the Mission Queensland Firebirds and reversing their fortunes of two defeats against the Australian side in 2014. The teams last met in the Preliminary Final, at the same venue almost ten months ago.
“We lost to them twice last season by the same goal margin (four goals), so it’s making sure we have a game plan and that we are able to execute it under pressure.
