Rasmussen set for major milestone in Sunday's knock-out match

After a false start a few weeks ago due to the re-aggravation of an early season calf injury, Cold Power Magic wing attack Grace Rasmussen is set to play her 100th ANZ Championship game on Sunday.  While the quality midcourter naturally wants the focus to be on the team's performance in the New Zealand Conference Elimination Final against the Mystics, she is nevertheless proud of the looming milestone.

Malia Paseka Announces Pregnancy

Cold Power Magic shooter Malia Paseka has announced today that she and her partner Sam are expecting a baby later this year.  As a result Malia will not play any further matches in the 2016 ANZ Championship, but has already indicated her desire to get back on court in 2017.

Harten To Captain Again

Jo Harten will again captain the Cold Power Magic in their round two ANZ Championship encounter with the NSW Swifts on Saturday, with Leana de Bruin not travelling to Sydney.

Coffin Joins Cold Power Magic

Katherine Coffin has joined the Cold Power Magic squad for the 2016 ANZ Championship season.  The defender was called into the team for the recent ANZ Championship Pre-Season Shootout held in Auckland, covering for the injured Aisha Bower.  She has now been permanently added to the squad for the Trans-Tasman competition, with news that Bower's rehabilitation is likely to take several months.
